The Foreigner

When we first see this old cabin in the woods, the director and I wanted a slightly scary feeling. Small "islands" of light accent the dark corners and lightning punctuated the dialogue.

 As the story of The Foreigner unfolds, the cabin becomes a refuge and protection for almost all in it, so the look changes to a warmer, brighter look on the inside, with the surrounding space still dark.
